Product Description Music can soothe the savage beast¿including your dog! Millions of dog guardians have grappled with behavior problems caused by their dog¿s anxiety¿ from fits of barking when their beagle is left home alone to the nervous whimpering of their dachshund during a thunderstorm. Now, psychoacoustic expert Joshua Leeds joins concert pianist Lisa Spector and veterinary neurologist Dr. Susan Wagner to create Through a Dog¿s Ear: Music to Calm Your Canine Companion; the first CD in a new series of music clinically proven to calm canine listeners.

Cool Music, but not for some canines July 24, 2010 SandyST (Renton, WA USA) I bought this CD for a friend who has two neurotic pups (not too young). She said it really didn't make a difference in their behavior even though she did not try the extensive behavior modification procedure of playing the CD when the dogs were feeling relaxed to create a connection between that mood and the music. However, she liked the music for sleeping.
Works Wonders July 23, 2010 L. V. Dixon (Arizona) I purchased this CD for my busy boarding kennel. It's amazing how well it works! Within moments after turning on the player, the kennel goes from a chorus of barking dogs to complete quiet and relaxed dogs. It even quiets those with severe separation anxiety!
VERY calming for dying furry family member July 21, 2010 Joy A Newman 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our wonderful furry family member had tumors that appeared overnight. Tried everything, but too aggressive. Thus, we did everything to keep her happy and comfortable. This CD was absolutely comforting and calming for her. Some people review that it is "simple," but that is because the music is within a dog's comfortable ear range. Unless one is a musicologist or a scientist with this information, it cannot be duplicated. Highly recommend.
Through A Dogs Ears July 20, 2010 Elisabeth Lorenz (Longview, Texas) AMAZING. Our dogs get very upset when storms are approaching. This is so soothing that they remain calm even during a severe thunder storm. This copy is a gift for a friend's dogs.I already have mine.
Interesting but nothing new... July 11, 2010 Pooch I was really hopeful that this book and cd would have the answers I've been looking for to help my dog who is afraid of loud noises including thunder, lightening and hard rain. Twas not to be.
Most of what's in here is interesting but the same old - same old. They really don't offer any new concepts or answers to the age old problem. I have played the cd and both an additional one they recommended but couldn't see a bit of difference after several times. I played it when there was no noise too and my dog slept but that's not unusual. It's almost like the authors extracted information from other works and then commented on it.
Sorry I invested in this but I really was hoping it would help my 3 year old golden. Save your money.
