Although considered America's greatest novel, MOBY DICK remains inaccessable to many Americans. Because there are hundreds of pages in the book concerning whaling many readers have tried and gave up before reaching the plot. Although taking place on the high seas, MOBY DICK is not a sea story. Its the story of CAPTAIN AHAB's descent into madness due to his obsession for revenge. This abridged version is the most authentic version of Herman Melville's classic best seller ever produced. Very highly rated on IMDB. This original cast recording of the movie DVD version runs 72 minutes.Old Vic trained actor Jack Aranson gives life to Melville's poetic dialogue. Its a high lofty prose with many layers of meaning similiar to the Bible. It was produced by veteran producer John Robert and highly rated Director Paul Stanley DGA. Great acting in a art film transfered to CD. It must be played over to get the deep meanings. Own a piece of America's history.....
