I suggest they makd it about 1 mm less in each direction., With the "perfect fit' it is difficult to align and install. No one would object to a silly millimieter short in the unit.

It's a good quality product and fits perfectly before putting it on. Don't do it on your own - it sticks but not on the place you want. I give one star less because of the problem with installation as you need to ask for help :)

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It's durable, it's relatively easy to install without the air bubbles (make sure the screen is clean and free from lint!) and while there is a slight glossy appearance, it doesn't cause too much glare issues in bright lighting.
If I had to purchase another Kindle or replace my current one, I would definitely purchase this product again.

I ended up throwing it out after several failed attempts to smooth out the bubbles. The adhesive side is tacky and very quickly and very easily becomes blotted with any specs of dust or debris--even after cleaning the screen and washing your hands. Good idea and thick material but just not quite consumer friendly. Also, there is a gloss on the surface that does reflect more light than the Kindle screen and I found this to be a distraction, as well. On the plus side, the description is correct, there was absolutely no harm done to my Kindle DX screen.
